A guesthouse garden designed around how it feels to be there — pool, deck, indigenous planting, and a hedge boundary that holds the property as one place.
The starting point
A new garden for a private guesthouse in Sinthumule, Louis Trichardt — the owners wanted somewhere guests would want to stay outside: arrival, lounging, swimming, dinner in the open.
Our approach
Indigenous, climate-appropriate planting set against the modern home · the pool and deck composed as the part of the property the day actually happens in · pergola and shade pieces that extend usable hours into the savanna biome evening.
Gallery
Arrival — front entrance with planted columns.
Pool deck — daybeds, pergola, outdoor dining.
Poolside — daybeds along the water.
